According to an inscription in the second chapel, Saint George Church dates back to 1375*.
Its artistic value is still permeated by the Romanic architectural style, even if manipulated by
the XIX century restoration when a new church with circular plant was built sideways.
In Saint George, the sandstone is the leading feature. Its softness inviting to itching the walls.
Sentences and pictures engraved on the south wall, the apse, the basis of the belltower, draw visitor
attention on oddities and historical events. From Anna Maria Musso “Casorzo: la sua gente, la sua storia nei documenti e nei ricordi” * other sources refer that “L’ecclesia sancti Georgii de Casurcio”, depending from Rosignano, is reported in Vercelli-church registers in years 1298, 1348, 1358, 1440. | |||
